Saltines are transformed into something absolutely addictive with just four ingredients.

Fire Crackers are a crispy treat made with saltine crackers, spices and red pepper flakes for a spicy and delicious kick! So simple and crazy delicious!

My family loves a good seasoned cracker, and I was on the hunt for the perfect recipe. However all the recipes, I tried the cracker was really oily.

I have solved the oily spicy cracker problem with one simple step…Baking! The end result was perfectly seasoned crackers without all the oil!

Here’s what you’ll need: saltine crackers, olive oil, red pepper flakes, ranch dressing mix packet, creole seasoning. The combination of spices make these crackers a delicious treat just as they are or serve them with cheese slices or other toppings.

Yes, they’re spicy, but you can definitely reduce the amount of red pepper flakes if you’d like. I like to keep them on the spicier side because we like spicy food.

I serve Fire Crackers with a cheese ball and they disappear fast! I also serve them with a steaming bowl of soup or stew and they are really great alongside a bowl of chili.

Store in a ziplock bag. Will keep for about a week — if they last that long!

Ingredients

4 sleeves Premium Saltine Crackers (a whole box)
2 tsp Creole Seasoning
1 Packet Ranch Dressing Mix
2 tbs Red Pepper Flakes
2/3 cup Olive Oil

Instructions

Combine olive oil, spices and ranch seasonings in a large measuring cup, or small bowl.
Mix throughly with whisk.
You will need two large gallon sized storage bags place two sleeves of crackers in each.
Pour the seasoned equal parts mixture over the crackers in each bag. Close the bags and flip several times to completely coat the crackers until they absorb oil/salad dressing mixture.
Pour crackers onto a baking dish and bake at 250 degrees for 10 minutes.
Allow to cool completely and transfer to a serving platter or bowl and serve.

You won’t eat just one, I can guarantee you that! These are not your every day cracker. They are for a special occasion. Like a Today!
